At the bottom-right of your screen is a taskbar which lists icons for some of the running processes on your computer. One of these processes is the internet. If you are connected there your taskbar will contain a small icon with two monitors on it which occasionally blink bright green. A picture is below:

Simply right-click on the internet icon and select "Disconnect" from the resulting menu to disconnect.
