There are many possible factors
that could cause a disconnect from the internet.
- If you do not actively use the
internet for a fifteen minute period Olemac's server
will automatically disconnect you from the internet in
order to make room for anyone else that may wish to
connect.
- You may have a "flaky modem,"
which means your modem may have gone bad and while it
still works it works badly.
- We may be working on the server
and be forced to shut down or disconnect from the
outside world, causing people to be either disconnected
or unable to surf the internet beyond what is located on
our server (ie local web pages and our home page).
The possibilities are enumerable,
but these are the most common reasons. If you are
frequently booted and none of these reasons are an
explanation for it then call our home office or email us
